I came up with the concept for Kous Kous Moroccan Bistro while growing up in the beautiful city of Marrakech, Morocco.
I always enjoyed our rich Moroccan traditions: the aroma of our slow cooked Tagines, the colors of our murals and rugs, and the sights and sounds in the marketplace. At the same time, I yearned to discover and learn from the west. I listened to international music, learned other languages, and gradually acquired a mindset that helps me to understand and embrace both worlds.
Kous Kous Moroccan Bistro is a way to share my story, and the pleasures of my country, with you. I invite you to enjoy the fragrant herbs and spices, music, and colors of Morocco and perhaps you’ll be inspired to share your stories, too.

“At Kous Kous both the cuisine and the atmosphere are sexy and exotic, and the staff is wonderfully unpretentious. You find a spacious Bistro style room with a small lounge. Hanging Moroccan lanterns cast lacy shadows like butterfly-wing patterns onto the ceiling, and world music plays softly in the background. The food is delicious, authentic and healthful. Chef/owner Moumen Nouri cooks up a selection of foolproof meats, seafood, vegetarian Tagines, brochettes. A wonderful list of spices and herbs infused Moroccan Tapas compliment the menu.”
